Uniondale Residential Program Celebrates 25 Years Serving the Community

Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) announced that their Uniondale residential program celebrated their 25th Anniversary. Staff and residents celebrated the occasion by hosting a ’90s themed party complete with period clothing and decorations.

 

The Uniondale residence opened its doors in 1990 under the Behavioral Health Services Division at FREE. This division provides specialized, strength-based, recovery-oriented residential and day services to individuals ages 18 and over with severe and persistent mental illness.

 

FREE offers a wide range of residential opportunities, sponsored with the Office of Mental Health (OMH). The goal of FREE’s community-based residential opportunities is to provide quality, individual-driven, recovery oriented services to help individuals maximize their independence and reach their full potential. Restorative services include medication management, independent living, substance abuse, rehabilitation counseling, symptom management, skill development, and others.
