Basic Carpentry
Wood Ramp Extension replacing wood steps Refurbishing/Replace goat shed wall and door
Join us for at Saddle Rock Ranch for Volunteer Carpentry Project, focusing on extending a wood ramp to replace existing steps and refurbishing or replacing the wall and door of a goat shed. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance the safety and functionality of our community spaces for all to enjoy.
Activities:
Wood Ramp Extension:
- Demolition: Safely remove the existing wood steps to make way for the new ramp.
- Construction: Measure, cut, and assemble the wood ramp to ensure it is sturdy, safe, and accessible for all users.
- Finishing Touches: Sand and paint the ramp to protect it from the elements and ensure a smooth, attractive finish.
Goat Shed Refurbishment/Replacement:
- Wall Repair/Replacement: Assess the condition of the shed wall and either refurbish it by patching and reinforcing or replace it entirely with new materials.
- Door Repair/Replacement: Ensure the goat shed has a functional, secure door by either refurbishing the existing door or constructing a new one.
- General Maintenance: Perform any additional tasks to ensure the goat shed is in top condition, such as sealing gaps, weatherproofing, and painting.

Repainting of the Horse, Carriage and Pig Pen – Power Washing of Stable Offices All Supplies Provided

This project involves repainting the horse, carriage, and pig pens, as well as power washing the stable offices. All supplies will be provided, so bring your energy and enthusiasm to help refresh and beautify our community space.

- Carriage: Repaint the carriage to ensure it looks inviting and well-maintained.
