    Volunteer Opportunities

We strive to make connections in the community on a daily basis. Our programs support the ambitions of our participant’s goals of music, arts, and dance. We welcome all volunteers from the community. Below are descriptions of some of the volunteer opportunities we have.

    Volunteer for a Day:

Welcome to Theater Day Hab. Our program includes a certified site based group as well as several (PWW’s) program without walls. We invite volunteers to spend the full day or just a few hours on site in our Bethpage location. You will have the opportunity to see how the program functions and to visit the different classes that are offered. Come in and share your talents with our groups.

    Event Volunteer:

We often have trips and events that take place out in the community. Our groups go bowling, ice skating, to shows, out shopping, to the parks, and so much more. We always need an extra hand to coordinate the group so we can provide support and everyone can enjoy themselves.

    Show Day Volunteer:

If takes a village to put on a show. Our participants work so hard all year to prepare for the shows.  We need volunteers to help out backstage and in the front of the house, selling raffles, flowers, and programs. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience and you will get to see a great show!

    FREE Players Theater Group Volunteer:

Our FREE Payers Theater Group is a one of a kind experience. We put on yearly full-scale productions of Broadway caliber shows. Be a volunteer member of the production team. The sets and props are all created in house and we are always looking for talented people to lend a hand.

    FREE Players Ensemble Volunteer:

The FREE Players Ensemble is a wonderful singing group that performs frequently in the community. Come to volunteer and attend a rehearsal or a performance out in the community. The staff transports the group in vans and we can always use an extra hand.

FREE Players Drum & Bugle Corps Volunteer:

The FREE Players Drum & Bugle Corps is a very well-known group and the first ever corps made up of people with developmental disabilities. We are always looking for volunteers to help this dynamic group perform their very best.
