This April, in recognition of National Autism Awareness Month, Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) – a Long Island- based not-for-profit that benefits and proudly supports more than 3,500 individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and traumatic brain injuries, will present Weave Me Together: Chaos and Containment, a new exhibit by differently-abled individuals at the Patchogue Medford Library 54-60 E Main St, Patchogue, NY 11772. There will be an opening reception on Friday April 4th from 11a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“Originally introduced as two separate artistic expressions of the feelings of chaotic emotional turmoil and the subsequent expression of containing this turmoil we are now thrilled to share the fourth phase of integration of these two inner states, now brought together in one coherent, organized expression reflecting a powerful step on the road towards self regulation, balance and control (for these individuals)”. said Ed Regensburg, LCAT Director of Art Therapy Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. and curator of the exhibit.

FREE CEO Robert S. Budd remarked, “FREE would like to express our deep appreciation to the Patchogue-Medford Library for their support in helping our artists to ‘Reach High and Achieve More’ as they continue to participate in redefining the future of our society.”

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with FREE and provide space for our community members to express themselves,” said Lauren Nichols, Director, Patchogue-Medford Library.
