October 23, 2014 | News

On Friday, October 10, a Garden Dedication Ceremony was held to commemorate Suffolk County Girl Scouts Troop 483 from Nesconset creating a garden at one of Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) residential programs in Hauppauge in memory of Nancy, one of the residents, who lived there and passed away last year. Thirteen girls created the garden, beginning in May and completing it in June, with some of their parents and troop leaders. The girls received a Certificate of Recognition for achieving their Girl Scout Bronze Award, and also received gardening badges. The bench in the garden was donated by Nancy’s father and sister.
