Joseph (Joe) Battaglia, MS joined FREE, Inc. in March 2025 as the Vice President of Project Management. In this role, he is responsible for capital project planning, budgeting, and portfolio management. Joe oversees all aspects of property maintenance across the organization’s residential and commercial facilities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and align with the organization’s strategic goals. He applies a proactive approach to all facets of maintenance and implements industry best practices to deliver quality customer service and operational excellence.
Joe brings more than 25 years of experience from Adelphi University, where he held several key leadership positions. He served 18 years as Director of Information Technology before advancing to Assistant Vice President & University’s Project Management Officer for seven years. In early 2019, Joe established Adelphi’s first Project Management Office (PMO), where he led the planning and management of all facilities capital projects, including major renovations and new construction. He was also responsible for overseeing and guiding the University’s real estate portfolio.
Joe holds two degrees from Adelphi University: a Master’s in Emergency Management (2014) and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (2005).
