Artwork By Individuals With Differing-Abilities Commissioned for Permanent Display By RXR Realty

Launch Reception to Be Held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11 am

RXR Realty, a leading real estate operating company in the New York Tri-State area has commissioned the work of twenty-one artists with disabilities from FREE (Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc.), for permanent display in an RXR property in Woodbury, Long Island. The artists will be honored at an installation ceremony and reception, hosted by RXR and FREE, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 beginning at 11:00 a.m., 1000 Woodbury Road, Woodbury, NY.

One piece is a 7 1⁄2 ft. by 10 1⁄2 ft. self-portrait by Laura Levy, an individual enrolled in one of FREE’s programs. Other works includes pieces from the “Flags of Hope” exhibition created by twenty individuals from FREE’s fine arts program.

“This display, which will live in perpetuity, is a perfect example of how the not-for-profit human services world can successfully partner with the for-profit corporate community,” said Robert S. Budd, CEO of FREE.
