FAMILY FUTURE PLANNING: 5 KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR PARENTS, SIBLINGS + INDIVIDUALS WITH
Every parent of a person with developmental disability asks, “What will happen to my child when I am gone?” Siblings worry about the future and the roles they will play. Family Future Planning is an important process for individuals with disabilities and their families to engage in, but it can be difficult for families to start. This workshop will help families recognize common barriers to future planning and begin the process by presenting five key considerations to explore, including: employment/day activities, residential options, social networks, legal, and financial.
In partnership with Marlene Meyerson JCC, DDI Birch Family Services and Jobpath
