Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health to operate an Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic located in Oakdale, NY.
When initially seeking services, individuals will meet with a licensed therapist for an initial screening and assessment. This assessment will determine the initial path forward in regards to their treatment goals. An individual in the intake process will receive up to three initial screening visits to allow our clinicians to thoroughly evaluate the needs of each applicant and ensure an appropriate course of treatment.
Once the initial screening and assessment is completed, the individual will be set up for an appointment with one of our prescribers. This appointment, in addition to the initial screening and assessment helps to appropriately diagnosis the individual and prescribe a course of treatment designed to ameliorate symptoms and promote recovery.
If required, a course of treatment that includes medication can be prescribed. All clients are educated regarding the medication prescribed and are made fully aware of what they can expect from various courses of medication therapy.
Individuals that require verbal therapy with any of our mental health professionals will receive such. Scheduling is arranged to be as convenient as possible and is currently being offered via telehealth and in person.
FREE conducts group therapy sessions for its clients. Individuals who benefit from peer support and communication find this mode of therapy helpful.
For those needing support from other agencies or simply seeking an alternate means to gain assistance, FREE can help by reaching out and using its considerable resources to link clients to appropriate programs and facilities.
For those who do not have a stable housing environment, are homeless or in crisis settings, the Mobile Medical Support Team (MMST) will connect this vulnerable population to needed primary and preventative care. The provision of services provided by the Team will support individuals in great need of meeting their behavioral and medical health needs as they secure more permanent housing.
