dinner-dance2Recreation and leisure activity are essential elements of well-rounded lifestyles. The residential programs are continually involved in a wide variety of activities that are governed by individual interest, choice and ability. Residents choose from a wide array of activities available on Long Island and New York City, including: an abundance of outdoor recreational and sporting opportunities, and theater.

Family settings within the residential programs allow for practice of life skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and budgeting. Individuals receiving services are encouraged to make choice in all aspects of their daily living routine to the best of their ability including: choosing the décor in their bedrooms and common rooms, planning healthy food choices, maintaining the home and property, and voting on their choice for group, or individual recreation and vacation destinations.
