apartment1FREE’s Community Residence and Apartment Treatment programs provide services to individuals with psychiatric disabilities, increasing their ability to thrive in the environment of their choice. Fully trained direct care, management and clinical staff prepare the program participants to live successfully in the most independent setting possible.

Specialized programs in FREE’s MH Residential Services Division include:

  • MI/MR Community Residences which provide services to individuals diagnosed with a psychiatric disability as well as mental retardation or other developmental disability.
  • A MICA program which serves individuals with both a mental illness and a co-occurring substance abuse diagnosis. This program is designed to assist individuals in increasing overall independence and managing addiction.
  • A young adult residence which provides services to individuals between the ages of 18yrs – 25yrs.

Apartment Treatment Program:

The Apartment Treatment Program provides housing in apartment units in the community. Program and clinical services are provided to foster growth and independence based on individual need. Click here to read about our NEW Apartment Cluster Program!

Supported Housing

The Supported Housing Program provides extended-stay housing with support services to people with serious mental illnesses. The program is targeted for individuals, who, with support services, are capable of living in generic community housing and taking care of their personal needs. Support is commensurate with the individuals’ ability to live independently in the community.

Homeless Housing

Individuals who qualify for this program are provided with support services which include: Case Management, Life Skills Training, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment, Mental Health Treatment, Educational/Vocational Assessment and Training linkage.
