Family Wellness Center Services
Primary Medical Care
We offer comprehensive services to treat as well as prevent illness, including annual physicals, flu shots and immunizations. Ongoing care is provided for chronic conditions. Patients are referred to subspecialty providers whenever clinically indicated.
Dental Services
Our experienced, compassionate dental staff provides a full range of preventive and treatment services in our advanced dental suite, which includes a state-of-the-art panoramic x-ray. Services for the whole family include: dental hygiene, bonding, crowns & bridges, root canals, extractions & oral surgery, and treatment of gum disease.
Specialty Services
Audiology
We assess hearing and balance using a soundproof booth, provide and fit hearing aids, offer rehab and counseling programs, and more.
Dermatology
Diagnosis and treatment of acne, atopic dermatitis, eczema, cold sores, warts, fungal infections and other common skin disorders. We also provide skin cancer screenings.
Endocrinology
Areas of clinical focus include diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, cholesterol and triglyceride disorders, and other conditions of the glands and hormones.
Gynecology
We provide routine examinations, tests, diagnosis and treatment to promote good health for women.
Neurology
Diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the nervous system, including the brain, spine and eyes.
Nutrition
Our nutritionist educates patients on a well-balanced diet, assist in managing elevated cholesterol and diabetes, and provide therapy to prevent and treat eating disorders.
Optometry
We provide eye exams, diagnosis of eye diseases and conditions, and prescribe contact lenses and other measures to improve eyesight.
Podiatry
We treat disorders, diseases, deformities and common conditions of the feet. Minor surgery can be performed and orthotic devices can be prescribed.
Rehabilitation Medicine
Occupational Therapy
We help individuals suffering from stroke, cerebral palsy, head injuries, autism and other developmental disabilities and injuries to maximize their ability to function independently. Therapists assist patients in developing fine motor skills and achieving necessary skills for daily living.
Physiatry
Our physiatrists diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions and pain syndromes, such as arthritis, spastic quadriplegia due to cerebral palsy, low back pain, and work-related injuries. These physicians are highly trained in the evaluation of neurological disorders, and direct our comprehensive rehabilitative team in the treatment of a variety of conditions related to stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, sports-related injuries, spina bifida, spastic hemiplegia, hyponia, toe walking, muscular dystrophies, developmental disabilities, burn victims, genetic disorders and musculoskeletal conditions such as neck and back injuries.
Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists use manual therapy, resistive exercise, electrical stimulation and other modalities to help restore normal function to patients suffering from chronic disabilities and acute ailments.
Speech Therapy
We address the development of language skills, fluency, voice, articulation and oral motor function. Patients who come to us are typically suffering from stroke, cerebral palsy, head injuries, neurological disorders, autism and other developmental delays and disorders.
Mental Health Services
Psychiatry
Psychiatrists at the Family Wellness Center diagnose and treat mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, including anxiety, major depression and schizophrenia. Evaluations as well as ongoing medication management are provided.
Psychotherapy
Our therapists treat mental and emotional disorders and everyday adjustment difficulties with the goal of relieving symptoms, thereby leading to changes in behavior, relationships and personality growth.
Psychological Evaluations
Standardized assessments are provided by licensed psychologists to clarify diagnoses and recommend treatments, as well as determine eligibility for services. Tests include cognitive, adaptive, psycho-educational and personality assessment.
