About the Program
NY START is a crisis prevention and response program for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs. Long Island will be the fourth area in the state to launch this program. This launch conference will provide an overview of the START Model, information regarding statewide implementation and specifics about Region 5’s progress and plans. It will also include training conducted by leaders in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. New York Social Work CEs and UNH CEUs available, NBCC’s pending.
Program Details
Registration Deadline: Monday, April 2, 2018
Professional Development: Attendees will be eligible to receive NY Social Work CE’s and University of New Hampshire CEU’s at no cost. NBCC CEs will be available (pending approval) for a small fee
Who should Attend: Mental Health Service providers, IDD Service Providers, Emergency Response Clinicians & Programs, Self-Advocates, Family Members of People with IDD/MH, LI START community partners and all other interested community stakeholders
