Family Residences offers a wide range of psychological services to individuals through our many residential and day services, as well as to individuals in the community through the Family Wellness Center. Services are designed to assist people in coping more effectively with a variety of conditions and events in their lives, including disabilities and other stressors, and with the goal of assisting individuals to realize their full potential, regardless of their disabilities and needs. Various strategies are utilized across different modalities to assist individuals based upon their own needs. These needs can include traumatic events, bereavement, mental illness, stress and anxiety, depression, developmental disabilities, and many others. Services are individualized to meet the person’s needs, and are delivered with sensitivity, compassion, and respect for individuals and their personal goals. When possible and appropriate, services also are integrated into the person’s entire plan of care, and the support and cooperation of other service providers, caretakers, family members, and friends is encouraged.
