With Love And Gratitude, We Honor the Life of Iris Hyman

FREE celebrates the life and mourns the loss of Iris Hyman, a dear friend and leader.  As a parent, advocate, friend and Officer of FREE's Board Of Directors, Iris was a true inspiration and comfort to all the lives she touched.  Iris quietly and steadfastly embodied the spirit of FREE's mission and vision, always acting with dignity, integrity, and empathy in ensuring that people were given every opportunity to live meaningful lives of distinction without prejudice or judgement.  She was and remains a role model for supporting and respecting others in the realization of their potential.  Iris joined the Board Of Directors at FREE in 1990, and served as President of the Board Of Directors from June 2001 until June 2004.  Iris also offered support to the organization in countless other ways beyond her leadership in the Board.  Her personal experience with differently abled individuals, her expertise in Education, her commitment to improving the quality of life for others and her dedication and perserverance in advancing FREE's mission, leave an invaluable legacy that will continue to guide the organization for years to come.  Her physical presence is missed sorely, yet her presence remains a guiding light for all.
